Aleksandra Krcha: A Career in Sports Marketing and Her Journey to Success

Early Life and Education

Aleksandra Krcha was born in Serbia and raised in Canada. She attended the University of Toronto, where she earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in marketing. After graduating, she began her career in sports marketing at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE).

Career at MLSE

At MLSE, Krcha worked on various marketing campaigns for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, and Toronto FC. She was responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, managing social media accounts, and creating content for the team's website and other platforms. During her time at MLSE, she helped launch several successful campaigns, including the "We The North" campaign for the Toronto Raptors.

Departure from MLSE

In 2019, Krcha left MLSE to pursue other opportunities in the sports industry. She joined Octagon, a global sports and entertainment marketing agency, as a Senior Vice President. In this role, she oversees a team of professionals responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns for some of the world's most recognized brands, including Nike, Coca-Cola, and Visa.

Key Achievements

Throughout her career, Krcha has received numerous awards and accolades for her work in sports marketing. In 2018, she was named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 by the Globe and Mail. She has also been recognized by the American Marketing Association and the Sports Marketing Association. Krcha is a passionate advocate for women in sports and has been involved in several initiatives aimed at increasing the visibility of female athletes and leaders.

Personal Life

Krcha is married to former NHL player Greg Pateryn. The couple has two children. Krcha is an avid sports fan and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.
