Avatar 3: Title Unveiled at D23

WEB Avatar will continue its elemental theme following 2022's The Way of Water with the third film in the franchise. At the D23 expo, filmmaker James Cameron unveiled the title of Avatar 3, starring Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington.

Cameron revealed that the official title for the third installment is Avatar: The Way of Fire. According to Variety, Cameron shot The Way of Fire and the fourth film, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, back-to-back with the highly successful Avatar: The Way of Water.

During his presentation at D23, Cameron teased that Avatar: The Way of Fire will introduce new Na'vi people and settings, expanding the rich world of Pandora. The film is scheduled for release on December 20, 2024.
