HECS indexation rate 2024 yet to be announced

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has yet to announce the HECS indexation rate for 2024.
It is expected the indexation rate to be applied on 1 June 2024 will be 47 per cent, but this has yet to be confirmed.
The HECS indexation rate is the rate at which the amount of HECS-HELP debt you owe is increased each year. The rate is set by the Australian Government and is based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
The CPI measures the change in the cost of living over time. If the CPI increases, the HECS indexation rate will also increase.
The HECS indexation rate for 2023 was 7.1 per cent.
